Alejandra Rassvetaieff

Alejandra was born in Mexico City in 1971, where she grew up and lived until relocating to San Francisco in 2003. She has traveled extensively and eagerly explores alternative paths in life.

She started her painting studies with a private teacher in Mexico City’s Mixcoac neighborhood in 1998. She says, “Painting caught my eye after exploring other art forms, in my search to find a new way of expression.”

The particular style of the artist’s naif world is composed of scenes, places, people and animals that take the spectator to the abstractions of her life experience, a kind of journey to the soul.

On her first individual show in Mexico City, a fresh and unique collection of works was displayed in a style described as contemporary naif and was warmly welcomed by the art curious. The artist has been regularly participating in art venues and experimenting with different techniques and mediums. She is actively involved in various art projects and shows in the City.
